This morning, we held a wonderful outdoor Eucharist service in memory of Father Cyril.
The service was led by Father Michael and we were joined by members of his family and his friends, as well as many other visitors, such as Governors, members of St Botolph’s Church and pupils and staff from Rosherville Church of England Primary Academy.

During the service, his wife, Dennishia, unveiled his memorial chair bearing a plaque that reads: Be like Father Cyril – Live life, life in all its fullness (John 10:10).
Father Cyril loved music and singing, so this was also a focus within the service, with his brother David singing a solo, the school choir singing a song and Year 6 Yew class sharing their very own song about Father Cyril, along with sharing their memories of this great man.
It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for Father Cyril’s life and the work he did for our school.
