The St Botolph’s Curriculum has carefully planned activities and learning which matches our children’s needs, expanding their opportunities and widening their horizons. Learning is carefully connected, interweaving knowledge and skills to make it meaningful, while ensuring that the National Curriculum is followed.
‘Safety in Action’ is an interactive event for Year 6 children to learn about some of the dangers they may face as they become more independent and prepare for transition to secondary school.
A number of scenarios are set up, designed to simulate and provide information about a variety of topics including:
Rail and Road Safety
Emergency Life Support
On Tuesday 12th July, Year 6 visited Cobham Hall School to take part in Safety in Action. The children were divided into teams to experience each scenario and learn about keeping themselves and others safe.
