The Lion King theatre trips

Over three consecutive weeks in November, every child and staff member in our school had the opportunity to go to the Lyceum theatre to watch Disney’s award-winning musical, The Lion King as a Christmas treat.

WOW! What an experience!

The story follows the Simba as he journeys from a young cub to his  role as King of the Pridelands. The theatre was full of glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. The costumes and scenery were so expertly created, giving a real sense that we were in the Pridelands of Africa.

‘This was the best school trip ever!’ – Year 4 child

‘I loved all the different animals, they were so clever!’ – Year 5 child

‘My favourite animals were the giraffes’ – Year 1 child

‘I’ve never been to the theatre, I can’t wait to go again’ – Year 3 pupil

‘I would like to say thank you very much for organising an amazing trip. The girls have not stopped talking about it and have rated it a super 10. This has created a life time of treasured memories.’ – A parent

On all three trips, members for the theatre staff and public commented on how well behaved the children were. They represented St Botolph’s fantastically.
