At St Botolph’s, we pride ourselves on offering our children quality education within a safe and nurturing environment. We continually strive to improve, giving our children exciting opportunities to broaden their horizons.
The St Botolph’s Curriculum has carefully planned activities and learning which matches our children’s needs, expanding their opportunities and widening their horizons. Learning is carefully connected, interweaving knowledge and skills to make it meaningful, while ensuring that the National Curriculum is followed.
We all had a wonderful celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March. Firstly, the whole school took part in a special worship, led by our English Leader Mrs Pollard, where we enjoyed a WBD song, saw everyone’s costumes and also held our own Masked Reader event with teachers reading excerpts form their favourite books and the pupils trying to guess who the mystery voice was!
Later in the day, pupils had the opportunity to make a WBD badge and also take part in plenty of WBD activities.
KS2 also held a grand opening event for our new St Botolph’s Book Nook on the KS2 playground. We can’t wait to begin using it to share and enjoy our reading.
