Year 4 Charity Week for the British Red Cross Humanitarian Appeal
In the week commencing 21st March, Year 4 held a charity week to support the British Red Cross Humanitarian Appeal. This charity helps to reach people in urgent need by:
- Providing food, first aid, clean water, shelter support, warm clothing, hygiene parcels and medicines
- Supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Supporting fire fighters and civil protection units
- Training people in life-saving first aid
- Helping families stay in contact with each other
- Educating people on the risks of explosives
- Repairing vital infrastructure
- Helping to repair homes, healthcare centres, schools and community centres.
Year 4 held a cake sale and also held a sponsored silence within their classrooms, where they completed their lesson and communicated without speaking for a whole hour!
We are pleased to announce that Year 4 raised a staggering £1094.76 for the British Red Cross Humanitarian Appeal.
