Eid Al-Fitr

The religious holiday of Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide because it marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

Eid fell on the 21st April this year, so on Monday 24th April, we recognised this by holding class worships and by  making and decorating lanterns.

The 🌙 crescent moon is a symbol of the new moon for Ramadan and the 🌟 star for the light. The the idea of the lantern is to light up the way for Muslim’s night prayers and because people go at night to visit each other as well, people usually do late night prayers during Ramadan until Suhoor meal. The shapes usually looks like Mosques with arabian art shapes.
