5-a-side Basketball Tournament
On Thursday 23rd January, we entered a basketball competition held at Northfleet Technology College.
A team of 6 from both year 5 and year 6 took part against 6 other schools in a tournament of 5 -a side basketball, umpired by students from the college. Not only did our year 5 and year 6 team face each other in the group stages, they were both unbeaten in all of their other matches and faced off again in the final, where Year 6 came out on top, winning a trophy and taking home medals for 1st and 2nd place. Both teams showed so much skill, competitiveness, and fair play against their opposition; we were so proud of them all. It was a wonderful event and a great opportunity for some of our pupils to experience playing on an indoor basketball court.
