Year 6 Visit the Imperial War Museum

Year 6 Visit the Imperial War Museum

On Tuesday Year 6 went on a trip to the Imperial War Museum, kick-starting their history learning!
Pheobe – I think our trip to the Imperial War Museum was an unforgettable experience; it taught me so much about the tanks and other vehicles and the different types of shelters. It was the best day ever!
Marianne – One of my favourite parts was looking around a 1940s house. It looked like it had suffered war damage as there were scratches on the door and the glass pictures were smashed. I enjoyed reading about people who had lived through the war.
Dev – We were lucky enough to meet Mike, who was 7 during WW2. He shared his experiences of evacuation; he was moved to Hertfordshire where he stayed until the end of he war. It was very interesting listening to him and we even got his autograph.
