Remembrance Day 2024
On 11th November 2024, the whole school gathered on the playground to remember and honour the brave men and women who fought in wars to protect our freedom. Every year we hold a special moment of silence to remember those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
We are reminded that some of these people were soldiers, others were nurses, and many were just ordinary men and women who did extraordinary things to help during difficult times. They fought for peace, for freedom, and for the safety of others. And even though some of them are no longer with us, we still remember them and say thank you.
We all held a poppy to show our respect, as we held a two minute silence to stop, think, and reflect. This moment of silence was our way of saying, “We remember, we are thankful, and we will always keep you in our hearts.”
