Bake-Off Final 2026

Last week, our Bake-Off finalists switched on their ovens for one final challenge and battled it out for first place!

Each team had 1 hour and 45 minutes to create a spectacular chocolate showstopper. The judges carefully scored every cake on appearance, flavour, and originality, making this one of the toughest competitions yet.

The finalists presented four delicious chocolate sponge cakes, each with its own unique twist:

🍫 “Sassy but still got it” cake was filled with rich chocolate cream, covered in silky chocolate ganache, and topped with a tempting selection of truffles and fresh strawberries.

🌈 “Amelia’s and Mum’s” cake featured raspberry syrup and fresh raspberries between the layers, finished with double cream and a rainbow of colourful sprinkles.

❤️”Sweet Chaos” cake was filled and covered with smooth chocolate frosting and decorated with an impressive mix of chocolate pieces, chocolate wafers, and bright icing hearts.

🍓 “Flour Power’s” team combined raspberry jam, cream, and fresh raspberries, all wrapped in an elegant chocolate collar and finished with decorative chocolate swirls.

Every team gave their all. The room was filled with concentration, creativity, and determination as the bakers worked hard to bring home this year’s title.

It took the judges 15 minutes to reach a decision after plenty of tasting, discussing, and, of course, a little more tasting!

And finally, we had our champions…

🏆 Congratulations to our winners: Flour Power – Joshua (Year 6) and Mum!

Their fantastic bake impressed the judges and earned them the Bake-Off crown for 2026.
