Year 3 Stone Age Day

Year 3 Stone Age Day

In year 3, we had Stone Age Day! We had an amazing time doing the different workshops. We had a go at clay pot making, being an archaeologist, cave drawing and baking Stone Age cookies. Each part taught us something else about the period. One of our favourite facts of the day was that the Stone Age people didn’t have names! They would make different inscriptions on their pots so that they knew that they were theirs. To finish off the day, we learned about different stories such as the 500-year-old mummy Otzi and then went and built roundhouses. We had such a great time and can’t wait to learn more in our history lessons!
