Aletheia Trust Athletics Tournament
On Tuesday 15th July, St Botolphs year 5 and 6 sports team took part in the Trust athletics event. Pupils took part in track and field events against all 12 other trust primary schools.
We were successful in many of the events, from yr5 200m girls sprint to the triple jump for year 5 boys and year 6 girls and the relay races which involved a mix team of year 5 and 6 doing 8x50m where we finished in 2nd place. we even had energy to defeat opposition in the tug of war!
Our scores for the day found us in 4th place overall and when added to the impressive scores already achieved this year (through our Ks1 and 2 termly events) we finished in 2nd place out of 13 schools – and just a few points behind the winners.
We are so extremely proud of all of the ‘team bots’ participants this academic year and know we will return even stronger next year. Thank you to all our parents who have supported us in all the events, your help makes this possible!
