Roots to Food

On Thursday 18th of November we welcomed Roots to Food to St Botolph’s. Year 3 and Year 5 took part in the nutritional based cooking workshops this year.

During the day, the children learnt how to peel, chop, slice and grate. They also had the opportunity to cook chicken, noodles and corn to make a chicken stir fry dish.

“We learnt to peel and chop carrots with a knife. We also had to cut up the spring onions and the peppers.” – Year 3 

“Dan gave our group 10/10 for our cooking, he was really impressed!” – Year 3 

“It tasted so good, I can’t believe we made it all ourselves!” – Year 5
