Open Events for children starting school in September 2023Admissions Process
The application process for admission into Reception Year in September 2023 closed on Monday 16th January 2023. Any late applications must be received by Monday 1st May 2023 via Kent Primary Admissions. National Offer Day is Monday 17th April 2023.
In addition to the online application, you will also need to complete a St Botolph’s C of E Primary School Supplementary Form, which includes details of our admission arrangements and oversubscription criteria. This form must be completed and RETURNED TO OUR SCHOOL OFFICE.
To see whether you live within the parish of St Botolph’s and St Mark’s, please visit A Church Near You and enter your postcode. Please note, if your child is offered a place at St Botolph’s, you will be required to provide your child’s birth certificate and proof of address.
Appeal Timetable
If your child is due to start Primary school in September 2023, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Monday, 17th April 2023).
You needed to submit your appeal before Tuesday 16th May 2023 for it to be considered by Thursday 18 July 2023. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education

In Year Admissions
To apply for a place outside of the Reception Admissions you will need to complete an In Year Admission Form (please see Downloads). This form will need to be returned directly to the School Office at St Botolph’s, together with a St Botolph’s Supplementary Form.
