Year 4 Charity Week

Year 4 Charity Week

Please find attached a selection of photos from our Year 4 Chosen Charity Week. We would be grateful if you could share these to help promote the fantastic efforts of Year 4 and the wider school community in supporting our chosen charity.
This year, Year 4 selected Animal Samaritans, who carry out vital work caring for animals in need within our local area.
As part of the week, a representative from Animal Samaritans visited on Thursday to speak with the children about the important work they do, particularly in caring for and rehoming cats. Year 4 children also had the pleasure of meeting one of the rescue cats, which was a wonderful experience and really helped bring the charity’s work to life.
In the lead-up to the handover of our donations, Libby did a wonderful job of sharing information about the charity with the whole school. She spoke in assembly about the work of Animal Samaritans, explained why Year 4 had chosen to support them, and encouraged pupils and families to contribute items. This helped raise awareness across the school community and resulted in a fantastic response.
During the week, we invited donations of:
  • Cat food (dry or wet)
  • Cat litter
  • Cat treats
  • Blankets or towels
  • Cat toys
We are very proud of the generosity shown by our pupils and families, and we look forward to officially handing over the donations to the charity.
