Year 5 Elm and Chestnut classes came together on Friday 31st March to perform the Passion Play to parents and the rest of the school at St Botolph’s Church.
The performance was set in Jerusalem and showed us the story of Jesus and his realisation that one of his disciples (Judas) would betray him. It then went on to tell of Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected again. The story was told through sections of narrative and through song, including performances of ‘Hosanna, Jesus!’, ‘ Who will you choose?’ and ‘Roll back the stone’, which the children sang beautifully. A special mention goes to the soloists, who demonstrated their singing talents and their bravery by performing to a packed church.
