The annual Festival of Light was held in Gravesend on Friday 18th November. Earlier in the week, Year 4 took part in a lantern workshop, where they learnt how to create the wonderful paper lanterns that they then paraded through Gravesend as part of the Lantern Parade. The Lantern Parade was led by the Mayor of Gravesham Cllr Peter Scollard with 15 local schools taking part. The parade began at Community Square and then made its way through town, with the Christmas lights being switched on as it passed by. The route ended back at Community Square for the lighting of the main tree.
It was lovely to be part of this community event and for so many of our pupils (both Year 4 and from other year groups) to attend.
