On Friday 17th March, we had a great day recognising and learning about the traditions of the Hindu festival of Holi.
Holi is known as the festival of colours and marks the beginning of spring. It is a time for thinking about love, new beginnings and happiness. We began the day with a special worship led by Mrs Atwal (our RE leader) who told us the story of Holi. We then took part in different activities in our classes including; dancing, a rainbow scavenger hunt, hand printing, art and design and poetry. It was lovely to see the pupils their wearing colourful, traditional or celebratory clothing to mark the day.
