Term 1 Memorable Experience – Investigation

Investigation

To begin our term learning about the big idea of ‘Investigation’, the children were given the challenge to design and make their own paper aeroplane that would fly the furthest. Learning the concept of investigation means children can begin to understand the importance of asking questions, formulating hypothesis, gathering information and analysing evidence – skills that they will continue to master through their education and beyond. As a school, we then shared the experience by participating in a competition at the end of the day where children could share their designs and compete against one another.

A huge congratulations to all the children for investigating and producing some fantastic designs, in particular well done to Lily in Year 5 whose plane flew the furthest.
