On the evening of Friday 22nd September, staff from both St Botolph’s and Rosherville, took part in the Ellenor Twilight Walk. The event is now in its 12th year, and involves people coming together to walk the route around Gravesend, whilst raising funds and awareness for this extremely worthwhile charity.
Ellenor is the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in North Kent and Bexley. Their services include Hospice at home, care team support, wellbeing services and an inpatient ward. For children in the area, the ellenor provide clinical nursing support whilst working with children’s families to provide care at their place of choice, which is often their own home. This means the children can receive care in familiar surroundings. They also provide Respite and Wellbeing services, such as play therapy, music therapy, counselling and bereavement support.
We all had a great time participating as a team, although there were a few sore feet the following day!
