Epiphany

It was wonderful to join together as a school community on Friday 12th January, to attend St Botolph’s Church for our first service of 2024 – Epiphany.

Epiphany – also known as Three Kings’ Day – is a Christian feast day which falls on 6th January.

It is a special date for many Christians as it’s when people celebrate how a star led the Magi (the Three kings or the Wise Men) to visit the baby Jesus after he had been born.

‘Epiphany’ comes from the Greek word meaning ‘to reveal’, as it is when the baby Jesus was ‘revealed’ to the world.

During the service, a member of each class shared their personal challenge and a challenge that the class has decided to work towards during 2024.

Father Gordon then blessed all the challenges from every child in the school, asking God to help support us keeping these challenges.
